Thanks for the recommendation. So looking at their website, I saw "Z-Wave Burglar Alarm Siren" and I was wondering if you would be willing to do a tutorial with their door/window sensor and seeing how that can automate this alarm to sound off if triggered.

Little bit of a stupid question here Bill… Do I need a Z-Wave receiver or a Z-Bee receiver attached to my Hub (RP with OpenHab) to process this? Correct?? Newbie here… Please keep the videos coming..:)

The big security company Verisure here in Sweden came with a new slogan, "A good alarm detects burglary before it happen". They had to change that slogan because it was the same as saying that their customer up to then had a bad alarm. What was the new thing they had done? They had included a vibration sensor or accelerometer in the door/window sensors. Quite smart. I believe you maybe could change the sencitivity level as well. Do you know if these are possible to buy or if it could be a project for you to modify and include. Keep up with the good work.

Very nice video! Looks like these Z-Wave nodes do work as expected and their price/performance ratio is excellent.
    2 short comments:
    a) Improve the light conditions in your room. your face has shadows and it's not well lit
    b) Use Simple Mode for Item Linking in openHAB for demo videos. It's easier to demonstrate it for newcomers (versus using config files for items)
