Wii U Games That NEED Switch Ports

The Nintendo Switch is known for getting a lot of ports of great Nintendo Wii U games, however there are still a TON of great titles missing from the Nintendo Switch’s library that deserve a GOOD switch port. Today we’ll look at 4… well 6 technically… great NINTENDO games that DESERVE a Switch Port. The Metroid Prime Trilogy Switch Port has been an idea floating around for awhile. Ever since the news that Metroid Prime 4 delayed was released it seems to make perfect sense for Retro Studios and Nintendo to release a Nintendo Switch Version of Metroid Prime Trilogy. Metroid Prime is such a great series and it would tide players over until Metroid Prime 4. Next we talk about Super Mario 3D World Switch Port ideas, this awesome Mario game is one that very much deserves a place on the Switch. We’ll also hit on StarFox Zero Switch port ideas and Super Mario Maker Switch Version ideas also. If you enjoyed please thumb the video up and subscribe for more. Thanks for watching!

Port Devil’s Third to the Switch…. No seriously! There’s a great game in there, polish up the graphics a little, make some small gameplay tweaks, you got a unique and fun game with online multiplayer and a good enough campaign. It’s better than most the COD’s I’ve played. 😉

Subscribed to you from that Xenoblade video, so you probably can guess what game I'm gonna say I want ported over…. Xenoblade Chronicles X. I would absolutely love to have that game on the go. And if they added in a bit more content and some quality of life tweaks I'd for sure pick up up again (though I'd likely get it again even if they didn't change it at all just for the portability).

The Metroid Prime Trilogy should totally be HD Remastered for the Switch. All 3 Prime games broke a millon in terms of sales and Metroid Prime 1 was the 7th best selling game on the Gamecube, plust the Wii verson is both hard to find and expensive as Hell to get now in physical dis form. they should totally bring the Prime Trilogy to the Switch.

I'd add three more games to the list:

    – Xenoblade Chronicles X (no need for any more words I guess 😉 )
    – Pikmin 3 (in preparation for part 4 – maybe even a Pikmin trilogy?)
    – The Wonderful 101 (controls had a bit of a learning curve, but I still enjoyed it a lot!)

    Bonus but very unlikely:
    – NES Remix games (1 and 2)
    – Complete Shantae series (so far AFAIK only Half-Genie Hero is available on the Switch, not the old ones. 🙁 )

I also really enjoyed the Wii U version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. 5 player local splitscreen (because of the extra gamepad screen) was so amazing. So looking forward to the upcoming Team Sonic Racing. 🙂

Personally I would love to see Twilight Princess HD come to the Switch! I heard rumor of Skyward Sword getting ported sometime but they’re gonna have to fix the motion controls on that one, my Wii remote kept going out of sync for that game 😛

Prime trilogy being ported over is a dream for me right now. I played the first prime a little bit as a kid and only remember being fascinated by it being a FPS and the feeling of isolation. I think it’s inevitable it will be ported over after the recent Prime 4 news. Off topic, but I have strong opinions about Apex Legends man. Titanfall 2 is my favorite FPS this generation, and Apex Legends, while I’ve enjoyed the matches I played and I think it innovates the BR genre in cool ways, I’m very frustrated with how the visuals (and other things) took a step backward, and it’s just not the next Titanfall game I wanted at all. I’m slowly starting to become one of those anti-EA people.

Here I’ll end on a high note. The Nintendo Switch is amazing! Some of my favorite games ever, I play on Switch.

Sick video duder! I would love to see them port over or hopefully remaster the Super Mario Galaxy games over to the Switch! Those games were so unique in style and feel. Would love to see something like that return to the spotlight!
