Almost a year later, it isn't very often that I find myself using the HomePod for on-the-fly HomeKit specific interactions. In fact, I don't really even use Siri for HomeKit interactions at all. If it can be automated, it should be!

I currently have 3 HomePods (Office, Living Room, Master Bedroom), 90% Hue Lights, motion detectors, and iDevice switches and outlets. Looking forward to Airplay 2, and expanding the number of devices handled by by the Hue Hub and expansion into 5 Hz networks. Although there are sometimes delays or non-responses from devices or accessories, it is a small price to pay for being an early adopter. We absolutely love using the new home automation, especially setting up combination of scenes (like “Coffee” in the morning which lights up an ever increasing light path to the kitchen in the morning). Looking forward to more posts from you!

    – Is it just me but the HomePod seems to activate my Hue lights and other HomeKit devices faster than the Amazon Echo? Neither are slow, but the HomePod is noticeable faster like 1 or 2 seconds when asked to do something.
