Use Google Home to Turn on Your Wemo Lights with Your Voice

In this video, we connect Google Home to our Wemo Light Switch and then control it with our voice. We use If This Then That (IFTTT) to make the connection and then we give you a demonstration of just how easy it is to turn on and off your lights using just your voice!

The Google Home device (complete with Google Assistant) is incredible and we love connecting it to all kinds of other automation devices. The Wemo line of devices is made by Belkin.

We’ll continue to show you how to automate lights and how to automate your home with our automation videos. We’re determined to help you simplify your life and your business with technology and automation.

It would be nice if Wemo wasn't dog crap wrapped in used kitty litter. Damn thing goes "unavailable" all the time. Lucky if it works for a few hours.

Just proves the old adage : "If it's Belkin, It's Brokin"

    Hi,

Thanks for this i have a problem though. I did everything you did. I say ok google, toggle wemo. Google assistant says 'okay, toggling wemo' but nothing actually happens. I checked that the lights do work when i use the wemo app to turn off/on lights. any help or insights?
