Tesla semi truck prices 150k for 300 mile and 180k for 500 mile truck. founders 200k

Tesla semi truck prices 150k for 300 mile and 180k for 500 mile truck. Pricing is aggressive given that 130k is in range of a regular diesel semi. Pricing is quite reasonable given that Tesla has a 5 or so year monopoly on long range trucks with the 2170 lithium ion battery.

Greg, nice analysis. You are right. Nobody here is stupid. They must believe there are other options
    options. My assumption is twfold.
1] Tesla has gotten to the point where delivery depends on the next level of management. Which we know little about.
2] Tesla has outgrown Elon's management style. This happens to lots of high tech companies.[even IBM] There are only so many Management attention units in the day. At some point he becomes the bottleneck. I hope Tesla gets Lucky and finds some really mature middle managers!!!

If I do some simple math for $30k you get a 400kW battery, as the 2Kw per mile is a very conservative figure, the current diesel trucks run at about 2.8Kw/m but as they need a lot more air to cool off the engine, they can't be streamline as much the Telsa truck. Still $30k for 400Kw means $75 per Kw which is beautifull , two cheap 45Ah lead acid batteries would cost me at least twice as much for the same capacity and will only last 4-5 years, single use alkaline battteries would cost me 30% more. Just one thing I dont understand, why a 14Kwh powerwall cost $8000 when the cost for the batteries it contain is only $1050.

Well said. I've been watching Tesla's play on its timeline and delivery promises. It just seems to me that they're taking on a lot of project back to back. How will this affect the quality of the vehicle being delivered?

What about the range they promise of 300 and 500 miles. Is that with or without load? Would love to hear your thoughts on the matter. Great info. Keep em coming.
