Thanks for watching. After 2 years we finally received our Model 3! No regrets! We have experience road trip with Model S and X through Turo rental, and if we had the money we would go with the S for practicality and reliability, but even with the 3 it feels like the future standards for EVs.

The charging current may need to be set manually when you're using unusual outlets, such as dryer or stove outlets, different RV outlets etc. You should derate to 80% of rated power, so a 50 Amp outlet should use a current of 40 Amps. A 30 Amp outlet (typical for dryer or stove) should use 24 Amps. This is required by the electrical code for safety since continuous power raises contact and wire temperature.

For Superchargers, the wall-mounted Tesla charger (really an EVSE), etc., and anything with a hard wired Tesla connector should negotiate the current automatically.

I thought the guy was slightly rushed in the presentation. Please do read the manual for anything that's not totally clear.
