I remember this Castlevania being either the last or one of the last great games of the series. After this game was made and trying some of the other ones which I thought were kind of crappy or even a parody of the original 3 I lost interest in the series. Konami needs to return to 8 or 16 bit with this game and not only with this game but with Contra too, the same way Capcom did with megaman.

I dont want to be a negative person here, since i know that people come here to remember their childhood memories, but i really would like to see a video of this game in wich the player just goes to every instant death location and counts them, and the absence of checkpoints and just how stupid and unfair the game is in comparisson to other castlevanias, Rondo of Blood, Bloodlines, Symphony of the Night or even Arya of Sorow. Great music, finished it when i was a kid, got me obcessed about castlevania, but after playingthose playable, i repeat f*cking playable, castlevanias, this one is just a sadistic trip on falling and falling and falling, and going back to the beginig of the stage and failing so more. And before some kid calls me a noob, if you are stuck playing this game and missed on the others your the noob. This guy playing this game and this playthrough are just F*king essential to some people just see what the ending and game was like. Like i said played it, finihed it, played the better versions, and thank you guy from the the playrhrough!

I discovered the invisible staircase at the end on accident, what a stroke of luck. My friends couldn't believe it. I just wish Dracula was a bit more difficult, changed into a demon or something….
