Video probably would have been helpful.. but my ps4 is set up different than this.. cover was secured with 1 screw not 3.. got that off, then disk drive is completely different setup than in the video. Ribbons connected to drive that do NOT have a quick disconnect, so I cant even take it out of the console.. this has been frustrating as all hell, and I will probably put it back together to have much more than just my disk drive messed up.🤬

Thank you soooo much for this vid!! My daughter put 10 pennies in the where the disc go. I had to take it apart to get the pennies out. Thank you for this I would have never been able to afford to have someone open it up to take them out. Plus I got some of the dust out of it.

Not sure if you check these but I followed the video after cleaning the ps4 , when I started to assemble the rollers in again I heard a pop and now the guard or access door that is suppose to move up and down with the rollers is stuck. It wont allow me to put in a disc whatsoever I didnt see anything break wondering if I locked it somehow. Please help.

    Always love your tutorial.
I have unrecognised disc error. After cleaning it, replacing the laser and updating all of the software it still doesn't work. Is there something on the board that fails causing this issue? Thanks

On the disk drive cable I didn't know you were supposed to hold that connector down to take it out if the ears get cut off or damage should I buy a new one right now the PlayStation will not update and it will not take a disc so I'm thinking it has something to do with that because I just rip it right out when I was cleaning it up
