Philips Hue Dimmer Switch with HomeKit Review

At about $25 USD, the Philips Hue Dimmer Switch is a great addition to any Hue setup. Tying it with HomeKit allows you to take it further and control other accessories, but it comes with some drawbacks.

Tip for everyone, the Hue Bridge app doesn't let you set up any switches without having at least one hue bulb to set up first. So be prepared if you are trying to control non Hue equipment with these switches that you will have to purchase at least one bulb to even set up a bridge to use them.

Weird, the version I’ve got has a 1 and a 0 instead of on and off on the top and bottom button.
    But I’m in Europe…
I’ve got 4 of these by know….. I love them.

Hi Eric – great vid! Right at the end you mention that there are other switches that you can use to mount into the wall and replace the physical wall switch to give a more permanent solution. Do you have any recommended switches like this please?
