Mavic 2 Zoom – Detailed Review

DJI Mavic 2 Pricing & Purchase:
The DJI Mavic 2 series builds on the success of the Mavic Pro and and takes aerial photography and video to the next level. The Mavic 2 Pro features a Hasselblad camera with a 1″ sensor. And the Mavic 2 Zoom features a 24mm – 48mm optical zoom lens to move you closer to the action. I’ve had an opportunity to fly and shoot with the Mavic 2 Zoom for several weeks now and have really enjoyed the upgraded flight experience that it offers and the amazing things you can do with the camera. The optical zoom is a feature you have to see to believe. And the new quick shots, hyperlapse and dolly-zoom are every bit as innovative and interesting as you would expect from a new DJI drone with a major software update. To me, this looks to be my new go-to drone for travel and any kind of non-professional shooting I plan to do in the future. Check out the video and see what you think. Please be sure to comment below and I will try to answer as many questions about the Mavic 2 Zoom as I can.

Dudes, EEF everything but this, massive zoom or silent drone. If you want to protect your livestock (poachers) or property from thieves…they can't know your drone is watching. They cost too much to get dropped from a 12 gauge. Duh…

One thing worth noting is that although the mavic 2 pro has a larger aperture, the mavic 2 zoom actually has better pixel density. The mavic 2 pro comes in at 2.0 cm per pixel, where the zoom comes in at 1.4 cm per pixel. That's a substantial difference in detail! So if you're doing mapping work, the zoom will definitely give you more bang for your buck.

That being said, having a smaller field of view, you will need to capture 3 photos with the zoom to cover the same ground as the pro. So it will take three times longer… But with better results

Every time one of those new drones come out I always do the same thing.
I get it from somewhere with a good return policy, fire up lychee, and start setting autonomous routes that literally push the battery to the max… And let it go.

I started with the phantom 3 and I've done it with every higher priced dji drone since.

There's something about the thrill I get when I push "go" and essentially throw a thousand dollars into the wind and wait to see if it comes back.

Then… I return it to the store

I can't wait to do this with the mavic 2

Yayyy… i hit the like button and …. tadaaaaa…. it went from 1999 to 2000!! Great review. Coming out with a controller with a led screen built in is so much better. Two thousand zero zero party over oops out of time….

Definitely going for Zoom rather than the Pro 2. Not a super serious photographer/videographer. Originally bought the Air. Shouldve waited a couple more months lol. So im selling my Air and getting this one soon! Cant wait!
