it's really hard to decide… the c8 is better for gaming (i have the xbox one x), the Sony has Android which seems like a more future proof OS compatible to my android phone.
Also, the Sony's safety dimming might increase the lifespan of the screen (burn-in).
So I guess I might go with the Sony

Man was so upset tk see a review of the a9f vs the c8 stating that the lg had more detail then the Sony like wtf I know that isnt true and gave it a 3.5 on image processing like wtf that has to be a fuck up and then the same with this years a9g there saying the c9 has more only 1 site says that each year and it's very weird and he states they only have brightness of 250nits I think this guy really didnt know what hes doing this is why I always wait for your review because man you notice everything abs your honest about it and you notice things that I actually notice that some may not I have OCD I notice every little thing and flaw I hate it but I do this is why I need an image with less noise what's weir dis this year lg has decided to blow out highlights a little bit and the a9g seems to have great peculiar highlight detail idk just something I noticed

I would think sizing isn't an issue, but RTINGS mentions larger OLED sizing having uniformity issues. I am surprised Vince doesnt speak on that in this review?

literally minutes away from ordering my first OLED (time to retired my Panasonic pz850). This review helped decide on the sony over the LG…now to decide if the $500 diff between the 9F and 8F is worth it…

Thanks for explaining why each does what they do. Certain companies technologies sacrifice for certain outcomes. This helps break down why certain effects are present. Some people just say this tv has blooming, this tv has deeper blacks but don't explain tadeoffs that can help you accurately compare

If you are deciding between sony or LG I would go with Sony just because of their attention to quality. I have the LG e7 65" and I am noticing a weird dark corner on it. I contact a TV repairman and he claims the glue they used to glue on the panel had gotten into the panel itself, maybe from using too much glue. I am done with LG, my first big boy purchase was a LG plasma tv in 2010 and it lasted till maybe 2014 before it started having issues. Don't get me wrong, LG has some of the best panels out there but their products just don't seem to last.

I WANT TO BUY THE LG CUASE THE SONY HERE IS WAY EXPENSIVE BUT IM AFRAID TO REGRET IT, THE REASON I WANT THE LG AS WELL ISTHAT E MY SAMSUNG SOUNDBAR IS DOLBY ATMOS AND I CAN STREAM NETFLIX , I THINK SONY IS NOT

Sony has soiled its reputation with multiple flat panel quality issues in the past and very unfriendly customer service. As much as I'd like to try a slightly more attractive OLED product from them, I simply cannot trust them with that much of my money unless I could see a major difference in performance, which I do not. LG on the other hand is now a few generations down with their time proven product, so it is 65" LG C8 for me.
