A lot of people are asking why their LG TV aerial is greyed out and all they get is the spinning LG logo and not programmed.

This seems to be a common question – its actually caused by a faulty tuner on the i/o board – you will probably find connecting a pvr to the hdmi slots works using the tv aerial!

The check is to plug the aerial rf into a youview or tivo box and then see if you get a signal through hdmi to the tv – this proves its the tuner circuit on the tv i/o board – sometimes it can be cured by reloading the firmware even if its the same revision as the firmware may have been damaged but 90% of the time its a hardware issue and needs an electornics repair or buy and swap a i/o board from ebay!

I had tuning in problems on Monday, I got a TV repair man in and he had to put an amplifier on the aerial cable at the TV its perfect now at the cost of £150 including a spare amplifier, good job done.

ive scanned loads of times with differet setups. removing everything apart from powet and scart lead etc but it never finds channels. im trying to get my sega to work on there. i always feel painfully close when i manually search i can get some mild signal with colour and everything but end up being unable to make it work (rf is turned on on the wire attatchment) so ive been spending all my time just trying to get regular analog tv channels on there but no luck any tips?

After hitting AUTO SCAN , the arrows won't move up or down to start the scan.
Last week I lost my ABC station and cannot get it back. Dog ate my original remote for this tv, so I am using a universal remote.

I hook a HDTV antenna to it and scanned it and no channels were found. what am I doing wrong? I thought it was the antenna so I hook that antenna with another TV and it works. I'm guessing LG TV no good!

I once did channel recovery on service menu while my land was World wide and normally it's EU_JP. And my channels were all blanc. I did it back to EU_JP and again channel recovery, but they are still blanc… (Didn't find anything in manual… or does it have to do with antenne?)

Thanks FAUOWL 18 on the older LG sets there was no "Home" button only a "menu" button was available on the remotes. But on all of the new sets there is the "Home" button that is used to get into the settings of the tv.
