They decided our older sets were not worth the money to support our TVs, The only way to circumvent this greed on Samsung's part is to purchase a Roku or other streaming media device and plug into your USB or HDMI inputs depending on device you use, I have a Plasma 3D tv and wont buy another Samsung because of this app deletion,

so we paid around $600 for a useless smart TV
just get a Google or Amazon streaming device or Apple TV better and cheaper

most apps and features says not available in your region on my Smart TV because i live in the middle east
it has Netflix only and even Netflix most shows and movies dont have subtitles
when i play same show on Apple TV in my room it shows subtitles LOL

Hi, all: YouTube is in there. Use your TV remote, search through the menus till you find APPS, go in and add it to the accepted list. Sometimes it's already listed in your apps but you need to OK the list again and it will suddenly reappear the next time you open up the APPS again. Confusing but it works beautifully. See Steven below. All Samsung models have different menus and submenus. That's why people can't find the apps. Keep searching!

I think we the people should have a class action lawsuit against google, youtube and SAMSUNG! I dont give a shit, they have to fix it! I paid for a smart tv advertised specifically with youtube!

So I had this same problem. Last night while watching a YouTube video it stopped working.  When I turned the TV off and back on, there was no YouTube app!  Following directions in this video, I looked and looked, but couldn't find a YouTube app to download.  As a last resort, I went to the three buttons at the bottom of the page and eventually selected "categories".  Then I selected "videos" and after 2 or 3 pages of scrolling, I found the YouTube app.  I downloaded it; then selected it in "my apps" and moved it to the first position.  Wallah!  There it was showing up when I pressed the Smart TV button on my remote.  And to my delight, I found I was able to fast forward and reverse a video in progress by using the normal buttons.  This was my pet peeve with the old app. Problem solved.

In 2012, YouTube and our device partners started distributing an
HTML5 version of the YouTube app for TV. This app has many new features
and other improvements that are not available on the older Flash app. We
now think that it is the right time to end-of-life this app because as
we continue to roll out new features to the current YouTube on TV app
(topic tabs, improved search, watch next, recommendations, better
transport controls, etc.) the legacy devices using the Flash app cannot
    access them.

I had YouTube in my Samsung smart TV but now it's deleted and TV cast have been deleted too. How can I get them back. Pleased tell me. Thanks

Youtube no longer supports Samsung TVs from 2012 and earlier. The Youtube app on those TVs uses flash, but Google wants to completely switch to HTML5. That is why your TV is missing the Youtube app.
