The DJI Mavic Air 2 is incredible. Over the past few months I’ve been shocked by the HDR mode’s dynamic range, and the overall image quality improvements from the 1st version. It’s certainly the best value for the money right now, and in many ways outruns the mighty Mavic 2 Pro.

FAQ:

– Does the SkyGrades Natural LUT pack need additional grading? – No. They are ready for export, but can also be creatively graded if you want.

– How do the Noise Profiles work? – You NEED to have the plugin Neat Video. It’s the effect that does the denoising. The profiles tell neat video what the sensor noise looks like, and then the presets tell Neat Video what to do with that noise. the program is like magic. Even if it seems nitpicky to remove shadow noise at ISO 100, the cleaned image makes your exported and recompressed file look better. Youtube will really mess up all over a noisy image when it re-compresses your video, so the cleaner the better.

I never comment BUT your video was so amazing that I am running out to add this drone to my collection. I love my Phantom 4 Pro but want something smaller that is always with me. I loved your video and the education I got from watching it. Thank You.. P.S. Another videographer was watching over my shoulder and is going with me to pick one up… Fun! Hutch

Great tutorial! I had been using H.264 all this while but will now experiment with H.265.
Could you help me out providing what settings you use while exporting the drone footage in premiere pro? Especially bitrate.
When I upload my videos to YouTube, the quality drops drastically :/

Sure wish one of you pros would make a video for average folks who want to avoid the editing process and would like some setting advice besides auto. Can you make that video for us?

Just got the Mavic air 2 as my first drone. Some of this video may as well have been in Spanish for me (and I really don't mean that in a derogatory way!), where is a good place for a newb to get started with all the basic techniques and terminology?

Duuuude thank you so much for this video. Ive only flown my drone a few times and haven't messed with the settings much. It was starting to bug me that the footage wasn't coming out how I wanted/expected but this has changed how I will fly moving forward. Will be looking into the skygrades when Im ready for the next step. Great video, thumbs up.

Hi .. thanks for the great video, I have a question I hope you can help with it! I was shooting in 4K and I saw that it was split int many videos .. is there a ways to merge them without losing quality via phone apps? Trie with iMovie but Instead of x2 3.75GB of 4.5 minutes files I got x1 9 minute videos with 1.50GB !
