for starters the camera isnt warmer. the processing is. the phantom is clearly the better unit. and more neutral. and by the way, that train on the bridge shot was f'king amazing.

Hey Billy, I plan on doing mapping jobs and I got the the P4 Pro V2 for that reason plus the 4k @60fps.so I have the Mavic 2 Pro as well. I thought it would be important to have the P4 for flexibility and as you said if your doing a drone job and don't have a slightly bigger drone the client wouldn't think you were legit if you pulled out the small mavic even though we know the quality. I couldn't resist getting a knew P4 Pro V2 for 1272.00. Let me know your thoughts and the videos you did here following traffic on bridge was awesome!!

So much lean on color temp comparisons, I can fix that pre or post. Look at the clarity of the entire picture, center, sides, background. Hands down P4P the winner. How many pros prefer the electronic shutter?

Stunning shots and a great comparison, literally side by side. The M2P has its issues but is great considering it's inherent portability. P4P does win on image quality, for sure.
Also, maybe permissions are different where you are, but how are you able to fly over roads? In the UK at least, with a PfCO, it would only be under completely controlled conditions that a road would be able to be flown over.

Footage from the P4P always looks sharper and more detailed. Example here was the commuter train; when it was smaller in the P4P footage, it was still more detailed. Closer-up in the M2P footage, still less detail, you showed them side by side so it was super easy to see. Puzzles me when a review like this shows that, but doesn't even mention it at all. Then you choose the less detailed M2P as the champ, odd.

I thought frame-rate was better in the Phantom 4. In other videos it doesn't look smooth at all but in this one it's quite nice, I wouldn't say it's much different than the Phantom 4. How did you do that?

this is the second video I watch of those you did in the comparison "m2p vs p4p" here also known the same defect (at the minute 1'10 "approx) p4p is unable to show the shades of the color of the trees, p4p shows everything in same green, instead m2p shows the different colors of the leaves, as is in reality, if you look also at the colors of the buildings, the colors with p4p all very flat, instead m2p shows a great variety of colors.
As I said in another comment the colorimetry can be corrected to suit your taste, but the inability to show the shades of colors (especially in the trees and meadows) by p4p I find it a major flaw.

IMO I thought the Phantom 4 pro video was much better than the Mavic 2 pro.
The Mavic 2 pro was too warm with a yellowish tinge and soft at the same time=Loser
The Phantom 4 pro was sharper with better color presentation and shoots 4K @ 60fps=Winner

This was a very informative video for me since I have the Phantom 4 Pro and the older Mavic Pro Platinum. Although the Phantom 4 pro has the superior camera I find myself using the Mavic quite often because it’s quieter. That the Mavic 2 Pro edges out the Phantom in terms of video quality and has the low noise and portability too is very appealing!
