DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Speaker – Setup, Test and Review

The Mavic 2 Enterprise comes with 3 accessories that can be used in many situations. In this video, I setup and test the speaker at the beach. I felt like this would be a common and useful place to test the speaker. There would be lots of elements to deal with like wind, water and noise. I was lucky to run into a local surfer, Eric, who was willing to help me do these tests.

NOTE TIMECODE 2:16: You can record and playback quickly on the spot. You can not speak into it for live transmission in real time. If you watch the testing 123. that is what you are able to do quickly. Audio also needs time to upload to the app.

I've seen two of these trialled in conjunction for mountain rescue exercise, one with the spot light and the other the recording, the light was used to find the subject in the mountains and then the GPS coordinates was sent do the second drone to fly in and give instructions. For good weather it's great, but for mountains the battery life was woeful and struggled even a decent summer day/evening due to blustery winds. It also needs better blades for generating uplift. They are OK for rescue workers who'll use them to check difficult/dangerous to reach areas but otherwise you'll be better off using the bigger 8 blade systems.

For other scenarios it's idea, especially if you're not needing to cover large areas or, more likely, industrial inspection for hard to reach areas.

As a useful rescue tool it should have a combination device which gives you live bidirectional communications and a light all in one housing. This is a toy not a real tool for first responders!

I can see it already. Drone Dating. ME: “ so you want to meet at the park at 5:00” Her: “ make it 5:30 , my drone needs a quick charge, and I need to Poop”
The most important thing DJI needs to focus on is Battery life for its Drones, and a way for a drone to Land on a Pad that wirelessly Quick charges. Do this first, then worry about accessories.
