Control Harmony Hub using IFTTT on Google Home

Since I got the Google Home, I keep thinking of more ways to automate things in my home. So, I decided to get the Harmony Hub and test it out.

At the time of this video, there is no direct support to control the Harmony Hub via the Google Home but, we can use the IFTTT services to communicate with the Harmony Hub.

Hi, i did the same setup, it works good except when i ask two times the same action. By example "Turn down the TV volume", it will work once but not twice without calling for another activity between the second same action. Do you experience the same issue or you found a way out ? Thanks

Hey Juan, I am new to IFTTT but have a Google Assistant and Logitech Harmony Hub. I have set up a few applets but I don't know how to set one up to change the TV channels (Directv DVR) or change the volume through my Yamaha AVR. Can you help me out?

Could you set an activity to set the volume to set intervals of volume (25%, 50%, etc) OR set levels (5, 10, 15, etc)? You would have to create a few extra activities, but then you could solve the issue of not being able to increase the volume twice in a row.

Hey Juan really like your video. Can you help with step by step on adding a single activity? e.g… looking to change the channel up and down, also mute the TV like you have yours. Im new to harmony and not sure how you got the specific channels like CNN and kids channels to change via google home. Thanks in advance.

Does the harmony hub have to be in the same room as all the devices? I have a WiFi enabled TV in my living room, but the TV in the bedroom is not. I do have a Roku and a Chromecast stick on this TV. Great Video BTW.

I purchased the new WISA Klipsh speakers and it controller unfortunately have to turn on the TV then the sound system. I am sure it is either IR or RF remote does this mean the unit you tested would control both items mentioned?
