Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video review of Bayonetta 2 for Wii U, developed by Platinum Games and published by Nintendo.

“Moon River… wider than a mile…” Awright, so it’s not quite as Evangelion-tinged as the last one. But it’s still got the moon, it’s still got the baddest Umbra Witch you know, and it’s still got ridiculously over-the-top battles against enormous hellbeasts (and heavenbeasts) spread out over three planes of existence. But this outing doesn’t just fine-tune some of the mechanics, it also brings us a new two-player online co-op mode, continues the trend of injecting Nintendo costumes in wherever possible, and cranks the sexy factor up to 666… or thereabouts.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Bayonetta 2 for Wii U and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s TJ.

This game is rare now like Pikmin 3. It's out of print and Nintendo is re-releasing it as a standalone title without the bonus disc of Bayonetta 1. Better get a copy of it now because prices on the secondary market are already crazy high…

goodness fucking gracious this game was BORING!   don't get me wrong the cut scenes, audio, sound effects, and graphics did a damn good job of showcasing what the WiiU console was capable of,  but it seemed they forgot the most basic important thing,  if the gameplay sucks so will the entire game and mother of fuck the gameplay on this was horrid,  i've seen less repetitive gameplay on a CoD online multi death match,  the repetitiveness of the gameplay on Bayonetta 2 was the type of gameplay that could be used as a placebo for a sleeping pill,  it would put you to sleep.

Just another reason why Wii U is the best so far this gen. And I have a PS4! I love that thing too but it has only started to get newer games. Before I even had my PS4 the Wii U entertained me all the time…..not online but still! Mario 3D World, New super mario bros, Nintendoland, windwaker HD, DKC Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros 4, Bayonetta 2 with Bayonetta and all the DLC, Pikmin 3, Hyrule Warriors Batman Arkham City with all the DLC and then some, and considering it is one of the best games ever and only cost $20 new is fantastic. Arkham Origins which is not as bad as everyone says it has been patched enough to warrent a playthrough and the fact that is only $12 is a steal. Mass Effect 3 with all the mutiplayer DLC which is an online game I highly recommend also it is $8 new and with all the content it has is a steal. Rayman Legends+Bonus content, Zombi U which could have looked better but is still an under rated horror game if you like horror games, certainly play on chicken mode if you are a space cadet to the series, also it is no more then $15 new. Injustice is a great fighting game you can get and it is no more then $20 new. NES Remix 1+2 are on Disc now for no more then $30 new.The Eshop has every good super nintendo game, NES is all there, They started N64 games, DS games are there, The store gets every indie game that PS4 and Xbone gets (for the most part). The choice of controllers is almost limtless. Got the Gamepad, Wii Pro controller which is like a Playstation controller, Wii U Pro Controller which is like a 360 controller with and 80 hour battery life, Wiimote and Numchuck, the hori battle pad which is just a gamecube controller you can plug into your wiimote and yes it works with all games, then the gamecube controller adapter which for now only works with Smash. Then the fact that the system is backwords combatilbe if you don't want to download wii games you can play them on disc. Wii U has it's problems. It's online is very crippled, not horrible the servers for all the games work day one with very little patches needed when it comes to game play. Voice chat and parties and a few things if added could make it the best Nintendo system ever, and it kind of already is considering you can play every nintendo system except for gamecube at the moment. Maybe Spaltoon will change the whole online thing, but since I got my PS4 it's not a huge deal, but nintendo has a great system here, and even more games coming.

Great game on Wii U.  It isn't just impressive on a technical level, the controls really are spot on!  This struck me on my very first play, the controls are so tight, intuitive and responsive that they become second nature allowing for some great combo's.  A fantastic game that any Wii U owner should own!!  Nintendo and Platinum really are a great partnership.

Trying to decide between this or Arkham knight. The reason why I'm comparing them is because I'm sort of saving money so by the time I decide to treat myself Knight will be out.
