Also I have learned that you will get updates much faster if your car is connected to a WiFi network vs. LTE cellular. If you are in a weak WiFi spot, especially if you live in an apt., you can park in front of a Tesla SC and the update will come sooner.

I've been wondering about the updates because overnight I park in a garage where there isn't even a cell phone signal, and the same is true at work. I've been assuming my car would have to upload the updates when I'm driving around during the day — but is that even possible? Or will I need to find a WiFi hotspot every so often on a weekend and just wait there to get the updates?

Mine connects but when I leave the car and come back minutes later it doesn’t seem to be connected to wifi anymore. It has to find the signal again. The signal is strong. Full bars when it does connect.
