For TX9Pro, I got this option to work, which is quite similar to the method in this video. Use any egular digital RCA coaxial cable (both ends RCA male, normally can transmit SPDIF, video and audio) – but one end you connect to an RCA female to 3.5mm mono jack adapter. Then this 3.5mm jack end will be connected to the TV box. The other RCA end, just connect it to you digital coaxial input of the AVR. Make sure the setting are correct for the AVR. With this, you should be able to get DD or DTS signal. Also I believe the RCA to 3.5mm adapter, you can get it cheaply from any online retailers. Hope this helps!

I bought a Philips HTL1510B/94 which seems to be having an optical port and the Set-Top-Box I have has a digital SPDIF port like the one you mentioned in the video. How can I connect them?

One of the video in YouTube MI 3 box there have a 3.5mm av audio output. So my question is that Av output support digital optical cable output to home theater receiver by using 3.5mm mini toslink?

The Spdif audio output of my old MxQ TV box only worked when i connected also the analog AV output.

now i bought a Mx9 TV box. If i get a regular P10 – RCA cable and put a Y junction mixing the red and the white plug signals it will work ???

Hi , is they any different between 2 line or 3 line 3.5mm ? I manage to find a 3.5mm adaptor to RCA (Coaxial digital) , but only 2 line , which if I am not mistaken is only stereo , which I found some info in some forums says that must be 3 line only can play surround .. is it true ? Your video shows 2 line 3.5mm only .. but also I bought a 3.5mm (3 line )cable to coaxial digital .. waiting for shipment …. Let see

Yes, he is right. There are 2 types of spdif. One is optical and one is digital. Tanix tx6 tv box using 3.5mm spdif DIGiTAL. (Not Optical).

Please take note. If u buy optical cable mini toslink to toslink, it WON'T WORK!

You need Digital spdif Cable. You can try to search Ugreen Av132 digital coaxial cable.

    Don't waste your money!

FAR cheaper and easier is to take a common 3.5mm to 2-Male RCA stereo adapter cable, and plug the left channel jack (the one that's not red) into your amp's coax input. Another cheap cable that works is a 3.5 mm to 3-Male RCA Audio/Video splitter – insert the yellow plug into your amp's coax input.
