Amazon Echo Games and how to unlock the secrets of alexa – Buy here ► – I talk to Alexa in this weeks video. The artificial intelligence device from Amazon Lab126 that lets you control things in your house, play games and get answers to questions with just your voice.
► Amazon Echo Dot (2nd generation)
Amazon Echo is a brand of smart speakers developed by Amazon.com. The devices connect to the voice-controlled intelligent personal assistant service Alexa, which responds to the name “Alexa”. This “wake word” can be changed by the user to “Amazon”, “Echo” or “Computer”. The device is capable of voice interaction, music playback, making to-do lists, setting alarms, streaming podcasts, playing audiobooks, and providing weather, traffic and other real-time information. It can also control several smart devices using itself as a home automation hub. Amazon had been developing Echo devices inside its Lab126 offices in Silicon Valley and Cambridge, Massachusetts since at least 2010 in confirmed reports. The device was part of Amazon’s first attempts to expand its device portfolio beyond the Kindle e-reader.
In March 2016, Amazon unveiled the original Amazon Echo Dot, which is a hockey puck-sized version of the Echo designed to be connected to external speakers due to size of the onboard speakers, or to be used in rooms such as the bedroom as an alternative to the full-sized Echo. Beyond these distinctions, the Amazon Echo Dot possesses the same functions as the original Amazon Echo.
External portable batteries have been developed for the Amazon Echo Dot by third parties. The Echo Spatial Perception (ESP) technology allows several Echo and Dot units to work together so that only one device answers the request.
► There are 100s of easter eggs in the Amazon echo here’s just a few you can try that will usually get a humorous response from alexa…
“Alexa, good morning.”
“Alexa, beam me up.”
“Alexa, set phasers to kill.”
“Alexa. Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.”
“Alexa, my name is Inigo Montoya.”
“Alexa, I want the truth.”
“Alexa, party on, Wayne.”
“Alexa, show me the money.”
“Alexa, surely you can’t be serious.”
“Alexa, are you SkyNet?”
“Alexa, party time!”
“Alexa, open the pod bay doors.”

► What can I do with it?
★ Control your music by saying “Alexa, play some Adele” without having to pick up your phone or walk over to your laptop
★ Ask for weather information by saying “Alexa, what’s the weather?”
★ Get other handy information such as the time and traffic on your commute
★ Alexa can also help out in the kitchen by answering questions such as “Alexa, set a timer for 25 minutes”
★ Third-party compatibility with Alexa means that you can order a pizza or book a taxi just by speaking
The aim of Alexa is that it will eventually be able to answer any question (within reason) and carry out hundreds of tasks that you currently use your computer, phone or tablet for, all by speaking to it. The company has developed advanced speech-recognition software and says it is constantly improving and adding new features.
Alexa can respond to thousands of requests, but some of the best and most useful are:
“Alexa, what will the weather be like today?”
“Alexa, set an alarm for 7am tomorrow.”
“Alexa, play Radio 1”
“Alexa, what’s the capital of Hungary?”
“Alexa, tell me a joke”
“Alexa, tell me the football scores”
“Alexa, add milk to the shopping list”
If you have any smart home devices, such as a Hive or Nest thermostat or Philips Hue lightbulbs, you can also ask Alexa to activate them.
► Alex Kidd in Miracle World
(アレックスキッドのミラクルワールド Arekkusu Kiddo no Mirakuru Wārudo) is a platform game for the Master System. Intended as Sega’s answer to Super Mario Bros., it was first released in Japan on November 1, 1986, and then internationally in 1987. It was arguably the most widely known game in the Alex Kidd series, due to it being built into many Master System and Master System II consoles. As a result of being built-in, the cartridge-based version of the game is now one of the rarest Master System titles. Alex Kidd must finish levels and overcome obstacles and puzzles in both scrolling and single-screen environments. The game has been critically acclaimed since its release. In 1987, the French magazine Génération 4 gave the game a 99% score. Sega Pro magazine gave the game a 95% score, stating that, with “so much to do and so many different ways of doing it, this is one of those games you will keep coming back to even when you have finished it completely.” Computer and Video Games magazine gave it an 86% score, saying it was “Sega’s answer to Mario” .”
