    I agree that one DCFC stop is the usable range limit for both vehicles (I own a Bolt). That is true of any BEV though. Even if the charging were 3x faster it still isn't practical for a trip that requires multiple stops as it really drops the effective travel speed tremendously.

    I think one problem for the new Leaf is Nissan still went with passive thermal management for the battery. This will affect charging times after the first quick charge, and could impact long term life

    Any comment about Leaf's CHAdeMO vs Bolt's CCS/SAE dc fast charge capability? Do you see one being more available than the other? Also, surprised you didn't say anything about Passive vs Active battery cooling. Would either of these considerations, in your opinion, tip the balance?

    Sorry to nitpick, but charging rate is measured in kW and battery size is measured in kWh. Thanks for your thoughts. You might want to consider battery thermal management deficiency of Leaf passive cooling strategy as it relates to pack longevity.
